Ireland - Wild Atlantic Way

As we returned across the bridge near Cahersiveen we had a look at the Old Barracks. It was built around 1870 as a police station for the Royal Irish Constabulary tasked to protect the Irish end of the transatlantic telegraph cable which entered the sea at Valentia Island.
